We are currently hiring for the following position:

Wire - Polisher​

Classification: Non - Exempt

Base Salary Range: $20.00 -$23.00 per hour

Department: Polishing Department


Reports To: Wire Department Supervisor

Position Review

This position is responsible for the polishing of orthodontic appliances produced by the company. Polish must meet standards that maintain the integrity of the finished product.

Assigned Functions or Duties:

  • Determines polishing priorities by referring to the priority list.

  • Loads and unloads product into polishing machine.

  • Mixes polishing solutions.

  • Determines proper media to use.

  • Unloads polishing kegs.

  • Removes, separates, washes, and dries products.

  • Organizes product & delivers the product to Product Coordinator

  • Stages material for polishing, washing, and drying.

  • Performs machine maintenance.

  • Must work hand in hand with 2nd Operations personnel.

  • Must multitask duties to maximize productivity.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent preferred.

  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing field

  • Ability to learn quickly.

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to focus and work under minimal supervision.

  • Adherence to the attendance policy


Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Must be able to perform duties while standing throughout an 8-hour shift excluding breaks and lunches.

  • Must be able to lift to 40 lbs.

  • Must be able to keep a consistent pace throughout an 8-hour shift, excluding breaks and lunches.

  • Must be able to bend below waist level.

  • Must have manual dexterity.

  • Must be able to see and focus on small parts.

  • Must be able to understand, remember and apply oral and /or written instructions or other information.
