Micro Etch - Production Assembler Lead​

 

Classification: Non - Exempt

Base Salary Range: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Department: Micro Etch Department

 

Reports To: Wire Department Supervisor

Position Review

This position performs all functions related to the micro-etch process of the orthodontic parts produced by WCT. It also delegates and monitors the work of others in the department. It ensures that quality, and quantity, are always a priority on the production floor.

​

Assigned Functions or Duties:

• Assists in the training of new hires.

• Evaluate the employee’s performance and give feedback to the Wire Department Supervisor

• Delegates daily workload to the Micro-etch employee.

• Report the department’s issues to the Supervisor

• Carries out priority instructions.

• Operates machine to micro etch parts.

• Monitors the quality of the product being assembled.

• Reports absenteeism, tardiness, and HR issues

• Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Job Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

• Displays good leadership skills.

• Ability to maintain focus on the task.

• Ability to learn quickly.

• Must be able to take direction and instruction 2nd Operation Manager

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.

• Must adhere to the attendance policy.

 

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Must be able to pick, pinch, or grasp small items with fingers including thumb.

• Must work primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm.

• Must be able to sit for sustained periods of time.

• Must be able to perform substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for sustained periods of time.

• Must be able to see small items and detect the different features of each product.

• Must be able to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.

• Must be able to apply common sense in performing job duties.

• Must be able to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.

• Must be able to count accurately and record data accurately.
