Position Overview

This position works closely with the Territory Sales Manager, providing excellent customer assistance with product and services information.  It is responsible for the accurate order entry of customer purchases and shipping requests; as well as resolve emerging problems for our customer accounts.  The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

 

Assigned Functions or Duties

  • Receive and enters orders via Sales Department, customers, and web store

  • Create Pick Ticket (item list) and Traveler per order and forwards to Order Fulfillment for processing and attaches original to order.

  • Enter new customer information in Great Plains Software and updates any changes in existing customers’ profiles

  • Prioritize “Urgent” orders.

  • Forward purchasing requests order to Purchasing Agent. 

  • Resolve customer complaints and issues

  • Issue credits, RMA #, and logs customer complaints.

  • Operate various office equipment

  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.

  • Work closely with 2nd Operations Manager and Sales Team

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must have knowledge of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • PC and Data entry experience required

  • Strong math skills a must

  • Familiar with Great Plains Software preferred.

  • Must be detailed and goal-oriented

  • Must be able to multitask

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Adherence to the attendance policy

 

 

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Must be able to carry heavy items of up to 15 lbs.

  • Must have the ability to pick, pinch, and type.

  • Must be able to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction

  • Must be able to see the PC screens; detect color coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print.

  • Must be able to hear and understand what clients are saying in normal conversation.

  • Must have the ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/ or written instructions or other information.

  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule

  • Ability to apply common sense in performing job

  • Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters, and/or conduct routine oral communication.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and record, balance, and check results for accuracy.
